Personal Response To William Wordsworth

Personal response to the rime I wandered lonely as cloud by William Wordsworth. I found William Wordsworths verse I wandered lonely as a cloud noneffervescent fascinating. Although this verse is for the most part a sincerely exculpated poem, Wordsworth still successfully captivates the reader and instills in them the feeling he describes himself as experiencing. When reading this poem I found myself really substantially falling into a trance in where I was also experiencing this wonderful memory. Wordsworth paints truly vivid images, which makes it easy for the readers to take place themselves in the poem. In the first stanza Wordsworth describes himself as being a lonely cloud That floats on high oer vales and hills (2) When Wordsworth applys the word lonely here I do not think he intended on this to be negative. I believe he finds this solitude blissfully tranquil. He provides us with an image of a wandering floating cloud, which for me des cribes a precise peaceful picture. Then he discovers companionship when he stumbles cross-sectional a host of dancing daffodils (4) He personifies the daffodils as if they were a crowd of people.

Throughout the poem he portrays the image of the daffodils laughing and tossing their heads in sprightly dance (12) As we can slow down here, Wordsworths description of the daffodils is rattling vivid. The image he paints is very effective. When reading the poem the reader can very well imagine them. For me, when reading the poem I visualized the daffodils playacting and dancing almost equivalent children. I feel as though Wordsworth got such joy ou! t of watching the daffodils because they acted identical children with such innocent and carefree attitudes. The most important use up this poem captures in my opinion, is the importance of memories. Wordsworth explains in the poem how substantial memories are to him. When he discovered the daffodils he plainly apprehended the beauty and amazement of them as he was experiencing it.
